Welcome to Community Mercy Hospice
We are here to help you in any way we can so that your experience with our hospice is respectful and fulfilling.
Our experienced, caring staff is dedicated to giving you and your loved one the highest quality of care you deserve. We share a compassionate belief in the hospice concept.
Our Philosophy
We believe hospice affirms life and exists to provide support and care for people in the last phases of an incurable disease so they can live as fully and comfortable as their disease will allow. Hospice recognizes dying as a normal process, and it neither hastens or postpones that process. Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through quality care and an organized team approach, patients and families may be free to attain a degree of psychological and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them and meets the needs of the patient and family.
What is Community Mercy Hospice?
Community Mercy Hospice is a physician-directed program that addresses the medical, spiritual, emotional and social needs of the terminally ill and their families.
Hospice care is primarily provided in the patients' residence by a team of healthcare professionals, clergy and volunteers who actively involve family and friends in their loved one's care.
Hospice aims to enrich the patient's remaining months of life, emphasizing control of pain and symptoms in the warmth and familiarity of home, surrounded by the comfort of family and friends.
Support from the hospice team is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and hospice care continues after the patient's death, through family bereavement.
Community Mercy Hospice is licensed by the State of Ohio and certified by Medicare. A wide range of program services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and other health insurance plans. It is also accredited by The Joint Commission.
