Centra Hospice

Centra Hospice is a regional nonprofit comprehensive program that provides medical, nursing, spiritual and psychosocial support to patients and families needing end-of-life care. Our goal is to help our patients live out the last months, weeks and days of life as fully and comfortably as possible. We serve patients regardless of age, race, culture, diagnosis or ability to pay. The cause of the life limiting condition may be lung, heart, kidney or liver disease, cancer, ALS, dementia or failure to thrive. Centra Hospice offers Open Access hospice care resulting in many more choices and expanded services than usually provided by traditional hospice providers. The goal of hospice is to help patients remain in their own homes if that is their preference. When home is not an option Centra Hospice care is provided in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, Centra Hospice House. If a Centra hospice patient requires hospitalization hospice services continue without interruption. Medicare, Medicaid and many commercial insurance companies will pay for hospice services. Centra Hospice believes that every person has the right to live the final stages of life in dignity and comfort. When facing a life ending illness Centra Hospice is here to help you and your family.
